Automated Traffic Safety Cameras: Speeding in a School Zone and Red Light violations
Speeding in a School Zone. I charge a flat fee of $99 (down from $199) to defend these types of tickets, but only if I can get your ticket thrown out. Otherwise you owe me nothing.
District Court Prosecutor: Present when the Defendant is represented by counsel or the officer has been subpoenaed.
Recent Decisions: On December 6th 2010, Judge Portnoy granted Mr. Cahoon's motion to dismiss an Automated Traffic Safety Camera ticket for Speeding in a School Zone based on a violation of IRLJ 2.2(d). Until the City makes some major changes to how they process these types of tickets, it is unlike any of them will be valid. However, the City Code says that the issuance of the ticket is prima facie evidence of guilt, therefore unless you request a contested hearing and make the proper objection, the Court will find against you.
